Job summary
Associates are responsible for independently running workstreams, setting direction with senior team members, mentoring analysts and conducting their own analytical work in support of new business development and projects including sell-side and buy-side M&A, strategic evaluations, valuations and other advisory assignments.

Principle Areas of Responsibility and Accountability
Seabury Securities is seeking candidates who share our philosophies and ideally our passion for aerospace and defence. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working extensively on a broad range of cross-border M&A transactions including sell-side and buy-side projects.
- Independent creation of complex financial analyses (business plans, financial models, valuation analyses, merger modelling, synergy analysis etc.).
- Preparation of professional, accurate and impactful presentations and other written materials for both internal and external purposes (ideas and pitch development, proposals, information memorandums, teasers, management presentations etc.).
- Managing selected workstreams for advisory engagements, working closely with senior bankers.
- Q&A and due diligence coordination on live projects.
- Mentoring, coaching and developing Analysts.
- Participating in client meetings, developing client relationships and supporting senior bankers in origination efforts.
- Conducting industry and company research and quantitative analysis.
- Execution of other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- A minimum of 3 years in M&A, private equity or comparable finance experience from a top-tier bank, boutique or A&D corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, business, engineering, mathematics or accounting from a leading university.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong financial modelling skills and prior relevant experience building complex valuation models and operational models.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
- A career-motivated professional who is confident, self-starter, energetic, and possesses a superb work ethic able to work within a close-knit team environment and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Sets and maintains high performance standards, delivering high quality work output also when under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and completeness of work output.
- A critical yet creative thinker who can quickly and accurately evaluate and analyze information.
- Willingness to travel globally.
- Desirable, but not required: MBA or similar degree; experience in and/or an affinity for the A&D industry.
