Lieutenant General (Ret.) Charles R. “CR” Davis Joins Seabury Advisory Group
Appointment Further Broadens Company’s Aviation and A&D Expertise and Capabilities
NEW YORK – January 21, 2015 – Seabury Advisory Group (Seabury), a leading global advisory and professional services firm and principal unit of Seabury Capital, announced today that retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Charles R. “CR” Davis has joined Seabury Aerospace & Defense Consulting division as Executive Vice President. General Davis’ experience and leadership will contribute toward broadening Seabury’s expertise in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) sector and supporting the efforts in commercial aviation.
General Davis will report to Christopher E. Kubasik, President and Chief Executive Officer of Seabury Advisory Group. The appointment is part of Seabury’s ongoing A&D efforts, which are being directed at advancing the company’s opportunities for growth and expansion in this key sector.
“CR brings a wealth of knowledge and insights to Seabury, which will allow us to serve our existing and new clients in the A&D market. Our unique combination of military and industry experiences will allow us to grow and expand,” said Christopher E. Kubasik. “Today, companies operating in the A&D environment are facing many financial, operational, and strategic challenges. General Davis’ expertise and extensive background will well complement a team of Seabury’s subject matter experts and increase the value proposition for our clients.”
Kubasik, a former Lockheed Martin executive, joined Seabury Capital in 2014, with responsibility for heading the company’s division that provides solutions for a wide spectrum of A&D and aviation clients, which encompasses such practice areas as corporate finance, restructuring, human capital and cargo, as well as airline and airport planning, and strategic advisory.
General Davis commented, “I believe my thirty-five years of increasing responsibility leading large complex organizations and managing major defense programs, system development, flight test, and production will be a great asset to Seabury as the company continues to grow in the A&D sector. I am very excited about the opportunity to work with Chris again and the Seabury team, and I look forward to being part of a highly respected firm that provides a very unique and valuable service to the commercial aviation world.”
General Davis has extensive experience in new aircraft configurations, engines, avionics and weaponry on a variety of platforms from the F-16 to the F-117. He has led procurement management and supported some of the most complicated programs for the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, the KC-46, space launch systems, and cyber networks.
